Our Fire Extinguisher Services
Fire Extinguisher Inspection
Annual NFPA 10 inspections for every type of fire extinguisher in your building. Our certified technicians check pressure, seals, mounting, accessibility, and tamper indicators, then provide complete documentation for your fire marshal, insurance carrier, and health department records.
Fire Extinguisher Recharge
Same-day recharge service for discharged or low-pressure fire extinguishers. We refill with the correct extinguishing agent, replace internal seals, pressure-test the cylinder, and return your extinguisher to fully certified operational status with new certification tags.
Fire Extinguisher Training
On-site fire extinguisher training for your employees, following OSHA 1910.157 and NFPA 10 standards. We cover proper extinguisher selection, the PASS technique, hazard identification, and hands-on practice with live discharge, with certificates issued to all attendees.
Fire Extinguisher Sales
We sell every class of commercial and residential fire extinguisher, including ABC dry chemical, K-class kitchen, CO2, Class D for metals, and clean agent for sensitive equipment. As an Amerex authorized dealer, we deliver genuine parts and full factory warranty on every unit.
Fire Extinguisher Cabinets
Recessed, semi-recessed, and surface-mounted fire extinguisher cabinets for any building type. We supply, install, and maintain cabinets that meet NFPA 10 mounting and visibility requirements, with optional fire-rated and tamper-resistant designs available.
We Service Every Class of Fire Extinguisher Used in Orange County
Fire extinguishers are not one-size-fits-all. Different fires require different extinguishing agents, and using the wrong type can make a fire worse or fail to extinguish it at all. We service and sell every class of fire extinguisher used in Orange County properties.
Multi-Purpose Dry Chemical: The most common commercial extinguisher. Handles ordinary combustibles, flammable liquids, and electrical fires. Required in nearly every commercial space and most residential properties.
Kitchen Fire Extinguisher: Required in every commercial kitchen handling cooking oils and fats. Uses a wet chemical agent that cools and saponifies grease fires. Mandatory for restaurants, hotels, schools, and food service operations.
Pre-Action Systems: Clean discharge with no residue. Ideal for electronics, server rooms, electrical panels, and laboratory equipment where contamination from dry chemical would cause damage.
Combustible Metal: Specialized extinguishers for fires involving magnesium, sodium, titanium, and other combustible metals. Required in metalworking facilities, manufacturing plants, and specialized industrial operations.
Water Mist and Foam: Specialty extinguishers for specific applications including hospitals, medical facilities, and locations where conductivity and chemical residue are concerns. We help you select the right type for your facility.

How often must I service my fire extinguishers?
NFPA 10 requires monthly visual inspections by your staff and annual professional inspections by a licensed contractor. Hydrostatic testing is required every 5 years for wet agents (K-class, CO2, water, foam) and every 12 years for dry chemical (ABC). We track all these dates for our clients automatically.
Do you service K-class kitchen extinguishers?
Yes. K-class kitchen extinguisher service requires the State Fire Marshal A-0448 license, which Spectrum holds. We service every K-class extinguisher in every Orange County commercial kitchen, with documentation accepted by the Orange County Health Department and all OC fire authorities.
What documentation will I receive after service?
Every extinguisher receives an updated certification tag with the inspection date, technician name, and service performed. You also receive a written report listing every extinguisher serviced, its location, condition, and next service due date. Reports are accepted by all Orange County fire authorities, insurance carriers, and the health department.
What if my extinguisher fails inspection?
If we find any deficiency during inspection (low pressure, damaged seal, expired hydrostatic test, etc.), we address it on the spot whenever possible. For issues that require off-site work or replacement, we provide a loaner unit at no additional charge so you remain compliant during the repair process.
