Five-Year Fire Sprinkler Certification
Why Orange County Chooses Us for Five-Year Certification
Five-year certification is specialized work that not every fire protection contractor performs correctly. Many contractors offer the service but lack the equipment, lab partnerships, or technical experience to do it right. Here is why our certifications are different.

Title 19 Specialists: We have performed California Title 19 certifications since the regulation took its current form. Sam K. personally oversees major certification projects and understands every detail of the requirement.
UL-Accredited Lab Partners: Our sprinkler head sample testing is performed by UL-accredited laboratories with documented chain-of-custody. Insurance carriers and fire authorities accept our lab partners without question.
AHJ-Accepted Documentation: Our certification reports are accepted by OCFA, Anaheim Fire & Rescue, and every other Orange County fire authority. We know what each AHJ requires and provide documentation that passes review the first time.
State Fire Marshal Experienced: Our team holds California State Fire Marshal licenses (E-2293 and A-0448) in addition to our CSLB C-16 #886810. We bring the same standard of credentialed work to every certification.

Sprinkler System Types We Service
We provide expert inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing for a wide range of commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems. Our technicians are trained to service the most common and specialized systems used across business and industrial facilities.
Wet Pipe Fire Sprinkler Systems: The most common type of sprinkler system, wet pipe systems are filled with water at all times for immediate discharge when activated. We provide full-service support to ensure reliability and code compliance.
Dry Pipe Systems: For environments exposed to freezing temperatures, dry pipe systems use pressurized air until activation. We service, test, and maintain these systems to ensure proper operation in cold-weather conditions.
Pre-Action Systems: Common in data centers, healthcare facilities, and other sensitive environments, pre-action systems require multiple triggers before water is released. Our team ensures proper calibration, testing, and performance.
Deluge Systems: Used in high-hazard industrial settings, deluge systems discharge water through all open sprinkler heads simultaneously when triggered. We provide specialized service and inspection for these complex systems.
Anti-Freeze Systems: Designed to protect areas subject to freezing, anti-freeze sprinkler systems require careful monitoring and proper solution management to remain compliant and effective.
What Our Five-Year Certification Includes
During your five-year fire sprinkler inspection and testing, our specialists will:
Run the required flow and alarm tests: a main drain test recording static, residual, and restored pressures, activation of the inspector's test valve to verify the alarm bell and monitoring, and a backflush of the check valve at the fire department connection.
Operate and test all control valves, ensuring they are functional and secured from tampering.
Visually inspect the system: pipes, fittings, sprinkler heads, hangers, and seismic bracing — for corrosion, damage, and obstructions, and confirm proper sprinkler coverage throughout the premises.
Verify head testing and signage: that periodic UL laboratory testing of sprinkler heads is current and that all required signage is posted per your local jurisdiction.
Document everything with state-approved reports (AES-2) or jurisdiction-specific forms, plus a compliance report for your records.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is my fire sprinkler system due for five-year certification?
Your system is due for certification five years from the date of the most recent certification report. If your building has never had a five-year certification, it is past due regardless of how recently it was inspected on the annual schedule. The annual NFPA 25 inspection does not satisfy the five-year certification requirement. We can review your existing records and confirm your next due date during a free consultation.
What happens if my system fails inspection?
If we find deficiencies during the certification process (corroded pipes, failed sample sprinklers, blocked valves, etc.), we document them with photos and lab results, then provide a written corrective action plan with prioritized repairs. Most deficiencies can be addressed within 30 to 90 days. You remain in compliance during this period as long as the corrective work is scheduled and progressing. We complete the corrective work and reinspect, then issue final certification.
How long does a five-year certification take?
Most on-site work completes within 4 to 8 hours for typical commercial properties, depending on system size and complexity. Larger industrial facilities or multi-building campuses may require multiple days. Lab testing of sample sprinkler heads typically takes 7 to 10 business days after collection. Final certification documentation is usually delivered within two weeks of the on-site work. For properties that cannot accept downtime, we schedule certifications during after-hours, weekends, or low-occupancy periods to minimize business disruption.
